When Sparks Fly Blog Hop - July 4th-8th

Welcome to the July 4th blog hop put on by the The Blog Hop Spot!

So pull out that checkered tablecloth, fire up the grill, and grab a beverage of choice lol. Then after all the activities are done and the fireworks are over, relax with a little blog hopping! *grin*

I'm doing a giveaway as the prize. Three winners will get their choice of either Priceless, Perfect, or Pure eBooks. Remember to leave me a email addy so I can find you. The hop ends July 8th and the winners will be announced soon after. Okay, 4th of July is an American holiday so I'm keeping the question as general as possible. :)

QUESTION: When cooking out, do you perfer using a grill or making a campfire?

I have to admit there's nothing more fun than making a campfire, putting hotdogs on a stick, and cooking them over a open flame. We have a pond in the backyard and the family and I have spent may evening cooking over a campfire, especially when the kids were younger. :)

Have fun hopping! This is a bittersweet hop because The Blog Hop Spot won't be putting on any more hops after this one. I only had a change to take part in a few, but I had a blast every time. :)

  2. Grill. But we are looking into a campfire spit for when the fire season isn't so dangerous :-)

  3. I love a campfire it can't get much better than sitting around a fire telling stories with my friends and family for me. We usually have a contest of who has the scariest or funniest stories.

  4. I prefer using the grill most of the time. But there is nothing like having a campfire thrown in the mix to enjoying making smores or just roasting marshmallows.

  7. Grill. It's WAY too dangerous here to use a campfire. Although we do have a fire pit we use in the winter when we are outside. We use it around Thanksgiving to make smore's for dessert. LOL
Thanks for being part of the hop and for the chance to win. <^_^>

  8. My late dad was a great barbecue guy, so I've always loved grills (plus, it gets rather windy here when I go to campfires, and I get that nice Eau de S'more scent for the duration)!

  12. Grill. Campfire, uh, no not in the city. Or in the woods either, with the brutal wildfires. Plus, I need my mesquite chips....

  13. Campfire all the way, we all go down to the beach by our house and build a great fire and sit around talking and having a great time, then watch the fireworks shoot over the water. Its wonderful.

  17. If camping, we have a whole slew of fun campfire recipes. At home, I like the grill, although I prefer charcoal over a gas grill.

    Thanks for the amazing giveaway!

  21. I've never gone camping and I've never actually grilled anything before. But if I was given a choice I think I might want to try grilling first. I don't want to get too frustrated or stressed my first try.

  33. I must admit, I prefer to use a grill. I still like the old-fashioned grills, with charcoal or wood, but we have, sadly, moved to a gas grill at our house (can you tell we don't camp much? lol).

Thank you for participating in this hop. :-)
