  1. Today (Dec. 2) is my birthday; I was dumbfounded when I received a call yesterday telling me my apartment application was approved and could I come in next week to sign the lease. BTW, when would I like to move in? Best birthday present ever!

So, I'm packing like a crazy woman and a week from Saturday I move! Not an all-expenses paid trip to a tropical island, but it's my best birthday ever and I'm smiling so much my housemates will wonder what I'm on and will I share.

I'd love it if Santa could bring me an early present: good weather for moving, no rain; quick, capable, respectful, experienced movers; an easy move all around; rental truck ready when I arrive to pick it up; no traffic.

Thank you for the giveaway, MA. Your generosity overwhelms me.

  4. Thank you so much for the amazing giveaway chance! You are so generous!

I would love it if Santa brought a healthy, happy 2017. We've had a lot of health issues in our family the last year and could really use a healthy year for all of us.

  5. Hi M.A.!!

Thanks for this great give away. For Christmas I would love it if Santa would bring my husband a good year. He's a Marine Corps recruiter and runs the station here in Weatherford, Tx. Good days mean he gets to be home before 9pm and spend time with our girls and me. He works so hard and been through so much, I wish he could be stress free for once.

  6. @ rannstev02, please thank your hubby for his service. And a thanks to you and your girls, you sacrifice as much as he does.

As for my wish, I would love to be able to spend Christmas with my children. But neither of them really have room and we lack the $$ for a hotel, so we'll see what happens. (and I wish for more books from M. A. Church...and thanks for the contest)

Good luck to all and I wish all of you and yours a happy holiday season.

  7. I would love for Santa to help my leg and ankle to stop hurting all of the time. Since I'm sure he can't do that I would love a new laptop.

  8. I would love for Santa to bring me books, or at least gift cards to buy books; I don't think it's possible to own too many.

  12. I'd like to be able to go home for Christmas, but I don't have the time or money to go. So I'll settle for all the holiday-type food and decorations and Starbucks peppermint mochas and books. Alllllll the books.

  15. I am currently unemployed and would love it is Santa brought me a job this Christmas, but since that will not likely happen I'd better get back to rewriting these cover letters that should convince employers that I am the person they want to hire! Happy Holidays to all of you!

  17. I'm hoping for lots of rain to help put out the fires in the Smokey Mtns. The extreme drought has cause horrific fires here and I wish for them to be all out and for everyone else to be safe. After that, I wish my knee would feel better....getting old sucks.

  18. Honestly, the best thing I could have for Christmas would be time with all my children here at my house. I have 3 grown kids and I'm looking forward to having everyone home just for a few days. I love watching them interact with one another.

  22. If I could have absolutely anything, I'd have to say enough money to pay off my parents' bill. They're really struggling and things keep piling up.
