Thursday Book Recommendation

These are books I’ve read and really enjoyed. Most of what I talk about will probably be paranormal/scifi but not always. Although it’s rare, I do read some contemporary.

This week is:  Aliens Abducted My Heart (Awakened Womb Book 1) Hawke Oakley

Blurb:

Maybe crash landing on an alien planet isn't so bad...

After a piloting blunder strands Captain Levi and his crew on a bizarre floral planet, their peace mission becomes more of a 'get home ASAP' mission. But they're not alone. They’re greeted by big, hunky aliens who are as strange and beautiful as the flowers.

When the aliens welcome them with open arms—and tentacles—Levi is wary. No strangers are that nice. Especially not seven-foot-tall teal dudes with more "feelers" than you can shake a stick at. But Levi's suspicion fades when the smoldering alien Zat'tor takes an unusual interest in him. He never got this much attention back on his own planet, and no human man ever made his heart flutter the way Zat'tor does...

Amid their budding relationship, Levi discovers the shock of his life. Can he ever return to Earth? But more importantly, does he even want to?

Aliens Abducted My Heart is a sweet, spicy romp in an alien world. It features an unexpected pregnancy between a cis man and an alien. Fluff, high-heat scenes, and HEA included!

Teaser Tuesday

Why Don was stalking Kit was a question they needed an answer to. Was it on orders from Lennox? They knew Don worked for Lennox, so maybe it was nothing more than a recon mission .

Don had better hope they never got their hands on him.

A small, amused smile formed on Connie’s lips as he observed the bemused expression on Kit’s face. Hudson’s boastful declaration to throw money at any wedding-related problem that may arise clearly left Kit feeling out of his depth. Kit really didn’t know what he was dealing with, that much was obvious.

Pucker Up Monday

It's not what you think. Since Mondays do tend to suck, I thought I'd start the week off right for ya.

Thursday Book Recommendation

These are books I’ve read and really enjoyed. Most of what I talk about will probably be paranormal/scifi but not always. Although it’s rare, I do read some contemporary.

This week is:  Leave Me Broken by Ki Brightly, M.D. Gregory

Blurb:

The Ruined Man
Reed Olsson made an unforgivable mistake. He stole from the Killough Company and as a result suffers severe consequences. He’s tortured within an inch of his life, and he expects death, but instead he’s given a second chance. The only downside is that he’s handed over to Oisín, a twisted thief with a death wish. Now Reed has a chance to escape, but to do that, he must bide his time and play the game.

The Flirty Thief
Oisín Kelly can’t stand boredom. He lives on the edge of danger every day and it’s always difficult to find a man who can keep up, but then he sees Reed under the torturous hand of a Company man. Oisín wants him. Reed’s a beast, one that keeps Oisínon his toes, and he’s fun . . . for now.

Clash of Wills
Their relationship is push and pull, and neither expects the satisfying thrill of being around each other. Reed has been burned too many times, and Oisín expects Reed to falter under his chaotic demands. Instead, they find a comfortable balance that makes them both question what they have. When Oisín drags Reed out on an assignment as his backup, it’ll be the ultimate test. Will Reed run or will he stay to fight alongside Oisín?

Leave Me Broken is a standalone book in the New Gothenburg universe that is full of dark twists and turns.

Teaser Tuesday

Hudson studied Kit as his mate squared off with Connie. Oddly enough, Kit seemed perfectly okay, and the bond reinforced that feeling. Kit had been scared and worried, but not nearly as panicked as Hudson and Connie had been when Kit called.

Kit really was okay and was now giving Connie what for.

Kit suddenly swung around and pointed at Hudson. “You’re not off the hook, either.”

“Connie is my right hand. I really do believe you should focus your ire on him.”

“Oh, thanks. Thanks so much.” Connie crosses arms over his chest and glared at Hudson.

Thursday Book Recommendation

These are books I’ve read and really enjoyed. Most of what I talk about will probably be paranormal/scifi but not always. Although it’s rare, I do read some contemporary.

This week is:  A Beginner’s Guide to Death, Demons, and Other Afterlife Disasters: An M/M Paranormal Romance (Demonic Disasters and Afterlife Adventures Book 1) by Shannon Mae

Blurb:

Adam:

Adam is not having a good day. First, he finds out his very long time boyfriend has been having an affair. Then, his dramatic exit becomes a little too dramatic when he ends up dead. To top it off, he finds out that the afterlife isn’t at all what he expected (he has no desire to learn to play the harp, thank you very much). Fortunately for him, some afterlife bureaucratic screw up ends him up with the most smoking hot demon he’s ever seen, and he decides he’s keeping him. Maybe the afterlife won’t be so bad after all.

Minos:

As Judge of the Damned, Minos has seen all sorts of human depravity over his endless existence. When a beautiful, shining soul pops into his chamber for judgment, he knows it's a mistake. The human, however, seems quite content to hang around, and it isn’t long before Minos decides he just might decide to keep this one. Minos isn’t the optimistic or happy sort, but he can’t help but be caught up in the whirlwind that is Adam. When forces beyond his control want to return Adam to his designated afterlife, Minos decides that will not be happening, heaven and hell be damned.

Tags: A very grumpy demon meets his match in a snarky, sunshine-filled human; not all angels are nice; Limbo is the party place to be; the afterlife is run like a corporate office, complete with red tape, pointless memos, and high levels of frustration; Minos has a tail and knows how to use it.
