Teaser Tuesday

Hudson nuzzled Kit’s ear and squeezed his ass, his other arm around Connie’s waist. Desperate for air, Kit pulled away, sucked in a breath, then slammed his mouth over Hudson’s.

Kit ended the kiss, then stared into Hudson’s eyes. “I love you, you magnificent dragon. Can you feel how much I love you?”

Hudson rumbled happily. “I can. I love you too.”

“I can feel it.” Kit turned to Connie and pulled him closer. “I love you too, my sexy dragon. Can you feel how much I love you?”

“I do. We both do. And we both love you.”

Kit wiggled his way out of their arms and dropped to his knees, his determination clear in the way he moved. With nimble fingers, he swiftly pulled down the waistband of Hudson’s night pants and pulled out his cock.

Connie was next, and Kit wasted no time in freeing him as well. His hands wrapped around both hard lengths, eager to please them both. He took Connie into his mouth, sucking frantically and using his tongue to wet every inch of him.

Connie’s groans filled the air, encouraging Kit to continue his work. After a few moments, he switched his attention to Hudson, giving him the same intense treatment. Back and forth he went, alternating between the two and driving them crazy with pleasure.

The bond between them pulsed with a primal, urgent need that sent shivers down Kit’s spine.

Connie’s lips parted as he lost control, revealing his clenched teeth as he gasped for air. Eyes closed tightly, his chest rose and fell rapidly with each ragged breath. His brows furrowed in either pleasure or pain—Kit couldn’t tell as he gazed up through his eyelashes.

Kit milked Connie eagerly, taking everything he had to give. With a satisfied sigh, Kit turned his attention back to Hudson, and their bodies moved together like dancers in a passionate duet.

Hudson’s moans crescendoed, reaching a fever pitch as he finally released with a guttural cry of pleasure. The air was thick and heavy, filled with the heady scents of passion and sweat mingling together.

Drops of perspiration glistened on Kit’s skin. Every inch of him was alive and buzzing with electric energy, fueled by the intensity of their shared desire.

“Gods, I’m dizzy,” Connie complained, leaning against a counter full of crowns, a silly grin on his face. “I think you sucked my brain out of my dick.”

Kit’s laughter died in his throat when Hudson threw him over his shoulder and headed out of the hoard.

Snorting, Connie followed them.

Teaser Tuesday

Teaser from #3 of the Dragons of San DeLain

Rage surged through Kit’s veins as a wild, animalistic fury filled him. He caught his breath in shock. Hudson, and that was definitely Hudson’s feelings, was consumed by an intense and deadly anger that radiated from him like a scorching fire that promised to unleash chaos and destruction.

“Holy shit, what just happened?” Kit muttered to himself, because he was positive he’d never felt such anger from Hudson.

A wave of reassurance washed over Kit through the bond, emanating from Connie like a warm embrace. However, it was quickly followed by Hudson’s intense anger. Kit couldn’t be sure if the reassurance was directed towards him, but he assumed it was.

Hudson oddly enough seemed… almost disconnected? That really didn’t describe the feeling he got from Hudson. The bond was still there, and Hudson hadn’t shut it down, but it was almost as if whatever feelings coming through were almost… secondary?

Like they were Hudson’s but not Hudson’s. Which made absolutely no sense, because of course it was Hudson… unless what Kit was feeling was actually from the dragon.

Suddenly possessiveness flared along the lines of the bond, along with a primitive feeling of… devotion? Commitment? Dedication? Along with covetousness, cravings, eagerness, and greediness. It glimmered and pulsed with each emotion that passed through it.

The possessiveness was visible as the bond tightened and constricted, while devotion and commitment were shown through its steady, unwavering glow. The bond also revealed eagerness and greediness, flickering in anticipation of what was to come.

And at the center of it all was love, radiating with a brilliant brightness that seemed to envelop everything around it. Kit looked on, breathless, as he witnessed the power of this love connecting them.

Love?

Kit gulped.

It was a love so pure and all-consuming, it was almost blinding to behold. The three of them had been dancing around with that for a while now, but there was no denying what he was feeling was from Hudson’s dragon. Eternal love—something so big and so vast, Kit could barely wrap his human mind around it.

The bond between them pulsed with love and understanding, like two puzzle pieces finally fitting together perfectly.

Wonder flowed along the bond too from Connie, along with much of the same feelings he was picking up from Hudson. Wonder and joy, plus warmth. Yup, that was his Connie. Although Connie’s feelings didn’t seem to be quite so primal, so maybe Connie was still in his human form.

The anger slowly bled away and contentment invaded Kit.

Teaser Tuesday

Teaser from #3 Dragons of San DeLain

Connie’s heart skipped a beat as he understood what he was seeing. But quickly he shut that down before it passed along the bond toward Kit. That was the last thing their mate needed, especially when he was locked up underground.

From the corner of his eye, he saw Beckett and Audrey also take to the sky.

The three of them would handle whatever else might come their way, while Connie stayed in his human form. Someone had to be able to give orders if needed until Hudson changed back. He watched his mate fly to intercept the missile coming directly at their home.

There was a bone chilling roar, then a huge line of fire. Within seconds there was a massive explosion, but it was still far enough away that it did not cause problems.

What if they hadn’t spotted that missile in time? What if it had managed to hit its target? While it was doubtful any of their dragons would’ve have been killed, they could’ve been hurt. Badly. They could lose body parts as easily as anyone else.

And he didn’t want to think what it could have done to Kit, who was not a dragon. Baring his teeth, he answered Hudson’s rage-filled roar with one of his own.

Someone would pay for this.

Teaser Tuesday

“We’re practically indestructible, remember?” Connie chimed in.

“Practically does not mean invincible,” Kit snarled.

“Please, Kit,” Hudson said quietly. “I need you to do this for me.”

Kit glared at Hudson for a few seconds before closing his eyes and releasing a deep breath. He opened his eyes and stared at Hudson. “Fine. Fine! I hate it, but I would hate it more if one of you gets injured because you were distracted worrying about me.”

Hudson kissed Kit’s temple. “Thank you. Do you have your phone?”

“Of course,” Kit said as Connie kissed him on the cheek.

“Wait one hour. If Connie or I do not return to my hoard, use the escape route. Go to Kage immediately. Or Isadora. Understand?”

Kit nodded slowly. “This sucks so hard, but I understand.”

“Thank you,” Hudson said. “Now go.”

Connie stood next to Hudson as they watched the door close to Hudson’s hoard, locking Kit inside. When Hudson turned toward Connie, his dragon showed in his eyes. “Update.”

His mate was absolutely furious. The low, growly tone was a good indication of just how close Hudson’s dragon was to the surface. Connie completely understood because he felt the same. He quickly repeated what Torres and Mitchell had told him as they hurried toward the front door of the main house.

“First Kage, now me.”

“I know. And pretty close together. It makes me wonder if we were the only two who were attached,” Connie said as they stepped outside. “Do you think it was Lennox?”

“I have no idea, but he comes to mind first, of course.” Hudson came to a stop next to Torres, Beckett, and Audrey. “Report.”

Torres cleared his throat. “I think the gargoyles had been attacked too. There was another big explosion closer to them this time.”

Hudson swore loudly.

“Do you have any idea what is going on?” Audrey asked.

“No, except for Kage was attacked tonight too,” Hudson growled. “And—”

The scream of something approaching fast snagged Connie’s attention. Everybody turned toward the sound. “Son of a bitch,” Connie yell. “Incoming!”

Hudson ran forward, shedding his human form and soaring into the sky.

Damn he’s fast. His breath caught in his chest as he watched Hudson power upward. The moon’s light shone briefly on the huge red dragon as it flew toward a streak of light coming at him.

~Teaser from Beyond the Darkness

“Mitchell, take Sheila and Stella with you and see if anybody was hurt where it hit. That area is pretty vacant, so hopefully nobody was there, but still,” Connie said. “Be careful. We may have people invading our territory too.”

“The cameras don’t show enemies on the ground, but we’ll be cautious,” Mitchell said. “What about the fire? I’m pretty sure there is one burning. I don’t see how there couldn’t be. We don’t have a fire department, and we certainly don’t need the humans out here with theirs.”

“Shift once you get there, hit the nearest lake, and hold as much water as you can in your mouth. Use that. I’ll address the lack of appropriate firefighting measures later.” It was also something Connie had never thought of, because he honestly never thought somebody would be ballsy enough to attack them.

“Yes, Right Hand,” Mitchell said, darting off.

“Torres? Grab Beckett and Audrey and meet me outside by the front door.”

“Yes, Right Hand,” Torres said, hurrying off.

Turning, he saw that Hudson was dragging Kit toward their master bedroom.

“What’s going on?” Connie asked as he followed them. “Why are we going in here? What about the construction—”

“I’m stashing Kit in my hoard.”

“Over Kit’s objections,” Kit griped as he was pulled along. “Just want to throw that out there.”

There was no missing the scared and furious look on Kit’s face. It hurt Connie to see that. Knowing Hudson, it disturbed him too. Connie would never admit it to Kit, but he was thankful Hudson could do what needed to be done because Connie wasn’t sure he could. Making the hard decisions was why Hudson was such a good king. And this was definitely a hard decision.

“I don’t know if we’re being invaded, and the safest place for you is in my hoard. I’ve shown you where the access is to the tunnel that leads aboveground to the forest.”

“And you’re crazy if you think I’m going to leave the horde without you or Connie,” Kit snapped as he stood in their walk-in closet as Hudson gained access.

Once the door opened, Hudson spun around and grabbed Kit by his chin. “I cannot do what I need to do unless I know you’re safe. This is the safest place for you. Please, mate.”

“And what about me? I’m all safe in here while you tear around out there doing God knows what.”

“We’re practically indestructible, remember?” Connie chimed in.

“Practically does not mean invincible,” Kit snarled.

Teaser Tuesday

~teaser from Beyond the Darkness, #3 Dragons of San DeLain

“How can I help? What do you need from—dammit, I have an in-coming call.”

Connie’s head snapped around, his eyes wide with alarm as he heard the rapid thud of running footsteps approaching their temporary quarters. The sound reverberated through the narrow hallway, echoing off the stone walls and adding to the sense of urgency. “Shit, Hudson—”

Suddenly, the air was filled with a piercing wail as the compound alarm blared to life. The sound cut through the stillness like a knife.

Hudson covered the mouthpiece of his phone. “I hear it. Go.” Then he uncovered the bottom half of the cell. “Kage? I’m under attack.”

“Shit!”

“I’ll call you back as soon as I can.”

Connie tossed the rumpled sheets aside, quickly leaping to his feet. He snatched up a pair of night pants that had been carelessly thrown over the foot of the bed and hurriedly dressed himself.

Just as he finished dressing, the door to their quarters was thrown open. Torres and Mitchell stood there, their eyes the color of their dragon and claws extended.

Mitchell was breathing heavily and was holding his cell. “I tried calling Hudson.”

“I know. He was talking to Kage. He was attacked just now too. Report,” Connie said as he approached them.

“According to the cameras we have around the territory, a surface-to-air missile hit the border we share with the gargoyles,” Torres said. “There are cabins in that area along with supply buildings that were damaged.”

From Beyond the Darkness

THE PHONE’S screen lit up the dark room, casting eerie shadows on the walls. Its incessant ringing pierced the silence, causing Connie to bolt upright, wide awake.

“Hello?”

Connie turned to stare at Hudson who had his cell phone plastered to his ear, his face bathed in the blue light of the screen.

With his keen hearing, he could hear the sound of alarms and screams that nearly overrode the fear in Kage’s voice on the other end of the line as he spoke to Hudson.

“When?” Hudson demanded, his face twisted in concern as he spoke into the phone.

The moonlight from the window cast a shadow along his jawline, creating an intense silhouette. His hand gripped the phone tightly, his knuckles white with tension.

Kit slowly set up in bed, also staring at Hudson.

Connie closed his eyes, brow furrowed in concentration as he strained to listen to Kage’s frantic voice on the phone.

Box truck parked outside of the Dominion that was full of explosives. It was detonated. Essentially four or more city blocks were destroyed. There’s burning debris, rubble, metal, stone and everything in between. Embers is a mess, as is half the front of the building!

“Mother of all,” Kit whispered.

Teaser Tuesday

THE DRIVE to San DeLain was insane like normal, but they made decent time considering it was a Saturday. Hudson tried to give his business to paranormal-owned shops, but there were still some places they visited that were human-owned.

As they walked into the first store on their list, a human-owned bedding boutique, Hudson immediately regretted his decision.

The salesclerk behind the counter, a young woman with perfectly styled hair and an air of superiority, glanced at Kit, giving him a once-over. She raised an eyebrow in disapproval at how he was dressed before turning her attention back to her phone.

Hudson was getting ready to usher his mates back out the door when calamity struck.

The salesclerk spoke up, her tone dripping with sarcasm. “Can I help you people find something?”

Hudson gritted his teeth and forced a polite smile. “We’re shopping for custom-made Egyptian sheets.”

She rolled her eyes. “Well, you won’t find anything like that here.” She gave Kit another pointed look before turning back to her phone.

“Girlfriend, you have no idea the mistake you just made,” Kit said.

Teaser Tuesday

Hudson held out his hand. “Welcome to the San DeLain Fire Court territory. I’m Hudson Redmond.”

Kayden shook Hudson’s hand. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Your Majesty. Thank you for allowing my crew and me onto your territory. I’ve reviewed your rules with my men and women too.”

“Excellent, I appreciate that.” Hudson released Kayden’s hand. “May I introduce Sir Conrad Turner, my Right Hand, and my mate. If you should have questions or run into a problem and cannot get in touch with me? Well, Connie speaks for me.”

“That’s good to know,” Kayden said, holding out his hand to Connie. “Your king has already given me your cell phone number, Sir Conrad. It’s nice to meet you.”

“It’s nice to meet you too,” Connie said, shaking Kayden’s hand.

“I would also like to introduce you to Kit Meadows, who is also my mate, as well as Connie’s.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you too,” Kayden said, once again holding out his hand. “I had heard through the grapevine that his Majesty and Right Hand had mated a human. Congratulations to the three of you.”

~Meet Kayden, someone who'll figure prominently in the Gargoyles of San DeLain series! Hint, hint lol.

JUST AS they finished breakfast, Hudson got a text informing him Kayden was on his way to the main house. Kayden Lancaster owned Lancaster Construction Company and was well-known and well-liked in the paranormal world.

While Kayden wasn’t considered a paranormal—but neither was he fully human—he did have telekinetic powers, which meant he had the ability to move objects using the power of his mind.

That was putting it simply, Hudson was aware.

Kayden could manipulate matter with his minds, allowing him to touch, hold, move, and otherwise interact with a target through his psychic ability. As Hudson understood it, for a sufficiently skilled and powerful practitioner, the size, weight, distance, and mass of a targeted object seldom hindered their ability to influence it.

Hudson didn’t know Kayden well enough to ask such personal questions. But he was aware that people like Kayden were often referred to as a “telekinetic”. But the slang name for them was “teek or teeks”.

“Kayden is on his way here,” Hudson said, pocketing his cell. “Why don’t we meet him out front?”

Kit wiped his mouth with a napkin, then got to his feet. “Sounds good to me.”

Connie took one last sip of his coffee, he and Kit following Hudson out of the front door. Several work trucks and a couple of white vans were making their way down the main road toward them.

 Dragons of San DeLain #3

KIT’S EYES flew open, his heart hammering. Dammit to hell and back, he’d had that stupid dream again, the one where he was about to be engulfed by fire, but not just any fire—dragon fire.

There had been yelling, threats, and fear… then him staring into the maw of a red dragon. A huge red fireball grew in size at the back of the dragon’s throat, busting out of its mouth toward Kit.

Just before the flames hit him, he woke up, as usual.

He had no idea why he was dreaming of fire and dragons, but it didn’t bode well for any of them. Just like the last time, his terror had awakened Hudson and Connie, thanks to the bond. And just like last time, but there wasn’t really anything Hudson or Connie could do.

Teaser Tuesday

Beyond the Darkness, #3 Dragons of San DeLain

Smoke curled from Connie’s nose. They needed to be in bed. Turning, he hurried to it and the pillows went flying. He yanked the covers back. Blood pounded in his head.

“Eager, huh?” Kit’s smile lit up the room as he approached the bed.

Connie kicked his trunks off and wrapped a hand around his cock, stroking steadily. “Hell yes.”

Hudson nodded at Connie’s hand. “Then let go of that.”

Connie’s toes curled at Hudson’s command, even as he questioned if he could follow it. Did he want to follow it? Well, yeah, he did, but maybe not immediately.

When Hudson grumbled, Connie felt the demand in his bones. So maybe he did want to listen and let go.
