Excerpt from Bound by War
It had been unit years since anything had touched the very core of him.
While he was trying to puzzle that out, there came a muted but livid shout.
Concerned, he tried to force his eyes open but had no luck. Trying to raise his
arms or moved his legs wasn’t happening either. His body refused to respond.
Stars above, he really was completely helpless. No wonder they didn’t
consider him a threat. He wasn’t. Not right now. He needed that IV out of him.
The pain medication left him hazy and unable to defend himself.
There was the click of the chart going back to its place and footsteps
away from the bed. He heard a swish of a door opening.
“What the hell, Raiden?” Neo asked.
Fuck a black hole. He should’ve known. Where one of this group was, the
others were never far behind.
“I heard we transported up a Blishue. I couldn’t believe we allowed
that kind of space trash on this ship, so I had to come and see.”
